Condoleezza Rice? Petitement, une mention. La RNC a donné au président ses huit minutes depuis la pelouse de Maison Blanche. Trois des quatre fois où le nom de Bush a été cité, ce fut pour Laura Bush. La seule mention de George Bush vint de Rudy Guiliani louant le président pour son empressement à utiliser le terme du « mal ». La stratégie était claire: la meilleure façon de convaincre l’électorat que John McCain n’est pas George W. Bush était de complètement ignorer Bush.
